I got trick with the 3G. I purchase 500mb for R189 and borrowed a Modem thinking that i can download 10 Albums in an hour!
Worked only 95kb/s for and 1.8 Mbps

Depends where I'm downloading from, but I normally get about 432KB/s stable

I done a speed test

ADSL 384 > 39.75 KB/s
ADSL 4mbps > 385 KB/s

But after 3 months bank account
ADSL 384 > No effect
ADSL 4 mbps > Zero

Therefore 4096 / 8 = 512 KB/s

In reality its 430 KB/s on my line...

I upgraded a couple of days ago... from 384 line to 4meg line same situation as you and yeah its true! you should get about 430KB/s!

but... (there is a but!) it depends so much on where you download from (more than i thought) for instance a torrent download only gives me about 100KB/s, thats also because of telkom shaping the cr@p out of torrents, however, having said that, when downloading from international servers, expect it to be slower!
