Hi guys,
Please help me out.
I am currently using DSL internet, but was thinking on moving towards fixed LTE aka Rain.
Should i?
I am Currently using 70 gig in a month .
I see many people complaining of heavy data usage on their Lte?
I do lots of You Tube and games, like Ceasers free casino, ext
Please advice

I dumped my 12Mbps ADSL for RAIN 660GB. Could not be happier.

I use Tomatousb to manage traffic on the home network so the cap is not chowed up too quick. Otherwise ye, I could dissappear very quickly.

I dumped 1 Mbps ADSL for 50 GB RAIN and it works like a charm. It's even cheaper. Haven't had it for a full month yet. Granted my requirements are not large, I don't watch a lot of movies / series so it's mostly for basic purposes that my 50 GB/m is more than sufficient.

From what I gather, YMMV, I haven't experienced any speed or disconnect issues but others in more crowded areas seem to have problems.

Yes, from what i read there seems to be complaints of disappearing data to bad and intermittent service.
Intermittent service is what is driving me away from dsl.
But then dsl is way cheaper, well with Afrihost ,my Isp?

I'm also with Afrihost, and it kind of depends on your needs. In my calculations I also factored the ~200/m that I had to pay Telkom for the telephone line which I have cancelled now.

If you do several hundred GBs per month and are satisfied with a slower connection then ADSL may work out cheaper but for my purposes the Afrihost 25+25GB LTE ended up undercutting ADSL + Telkom.
