I signed up with multichoice in December last year for the standard Dstv subscription. I had assumed (maybe wrongly so on my half) that the debit orders were going off without a hitch - especially since our service was still running.

Last night I saw that they had debited me R1331.43!! Wanting to understand what had happened I checked on their online statements and saw that that R1331.43 comprised of a R459.90 amount for February and a R873.81 amount for January (-R2.28 debit order incentive (whatever that is)) and that the March amount of R488.99 is still outstanding!!

What I want to know is: Why have they charged me R873.81 for January, why do the amounts differ every month, when is the March account going to go off, how can they only charge for January and February now and lastly since when is multichoice so unspeakably useless? When I called the call center this morning I found myself dealing with an exceptionally incompetent person who only told me 15minutes into the conversation that she actually couldnt tell me why I've been charged like that because her system is down :mad:

I'm livid!

They a SA company....

they reserve the right to screw with your bankaccount and withdraw as much money as they feel like at any given time and never give you the money back, just pass credits on your account.

The R873.81 that you were charged in January was probably for December & January together.

The billings usually runs on the date that you signed up, for example if you signed up on the 5th of December, you will be billed on the 5th of every month.

I only have MNET analog and I pay cash monthly, I used to pay it at the Multichoice Agent, but since last month they stopped accepting cash, so I just deposit it into the Multichoice bank account.

happened to me too many times!!!

I tried to cancell my subscription in January, and It was supposed to go off on the 4th this month (today) but they decided to cancel it then and there, although I was still paying for it up to today.
I called them back, and 3 consultants, and about 30min later it was reconnected.
