DSTV Broadband problems

Does anybody have any luck with DSTV Broadband? I downloaded a LaughOutLoud program 3 weeks ago and was able to view it.

Now it takes ages trying to acquire the DRM license without any luck.

I have disable the firewall an anti-virus programs on my PC as mentioned on their support page.

I am still waiting for a reply from them regarding this problem.

Are you crazy? Put your firewall back on and make sure you get yourself a good antivirus program like NOD32 by eset.com Its fast and does not slow down your pc like symantec.

As to the DRM licence, that could be to do with that fact that some RSA programs do not have an agreement with MS (I assume thats whom you are using to connect to your media?) have you tried another source for the programme?

I sounds crazy , I would not have done it permanently. But read the reply on this on this query from DSTV broadband support.

We want to apologize for the inconvenience. There are a few issues that
could cause this behaviour.


1) Set WMP to download DRM automatically:

o Go to Tools - Options and go to the Privacy tab.
o Check the box below:

Download usage rights automatically when I play or sync a file


2) Norton or similar products

o Need to be disabled during license deliveries.


3) See if you can click on ?Cancel? in the DRM window, and then click the play button on WMP.


4) Firewalls

o Might need to be disabled during license deliveries.


5) Network

o If on a school/corporate network, check with IT if license deliveries should work.


6) Router

o If on a Router, please try to get the license delivery through wired connection.

!!!! DRM & DSTV BROADBAND SUCKS !!!!

I have the same problem. I get to the DStv Broadband logon screen when playing a file, and then it just hangs at a white screen after logging on.
 
Got a mail back from the support guys at DSTV-Broadband. They seem to have fixed the DRM License download issues.

I can now play all the clips I downloaded from their website.
 
Its never worked for me....even since November last year, just hangs. 1 or 2 that dont need a license do work, but the balance just hang (+-90% of the content)

I mailed support, but no reaction. Ive just left it now.
