As a matter of interest, they apparently have some sort of 'problem' whereby a lot of accounts were 'accidentally' deactivated.
I'm sure if they investigate, they'll find it's all those accounts that recently downgraded their packages.
"Whoops, you only wanted a downgrade and we cut you instead? Our sincerest apologies. Here, call our helpdesk where we get a portion of the call costs and hang on for 30 minutes."
They have to get their money back somehow, I guess.
They charge a R50.00 reconnection fee, if you put your subscription on hold.
Its probably the only way dstv can prevent you from dropping your subscription![]()
