DSTV Callcenters down?

As a matter of interest, they apparently have some sort of 'problem' whereby a lot of accounts were 'accidentally' deactivated.
I'm sure if they investigate, they'll find it's all those accounts that recently downgraded their packages. ;)
"Whoops, you only wanted a downgrade and we cut you instead? Our sincerest apologies. Here, call our helpdesk where we get a portion of the call costs and hang on for 30 minutes."

They have to get their money back somehow, I guess.

They charge a R50.00 reconnection fee, if you put your subscription on hold.

But, if you just downgrade to easyview (R220 year, R20/month) you don't have reconnection fees as long as any changes up are for a minimum of 30 days. I have never paid the reconnection fee. Always had Easyview activated and then just activated DSTV for (then 15 days, now 30 days) when I really wanted it. And now that Select is no longer just through Vodacom, that's where my DSTV decoder normally goes so I can watch international news and kyknet. TopTv instllation due this week though...and then the DSTV goes back to easyview for a bastardised version of dualview ... no terrestrial signals here in the Karoo.

For the last few days I've been getting engaged signal when calling the DSTV call center. I've tried several numbers. Anyone else this?
