DStv decoder software update roll-out starts early tomorrow morning

I wish they would undo the software "upgrade" they did about a month or 2 ago for the DSD 1110 decoders. Mine is terribly slow since then and when you browse through the channels the audio cuts out now and then. The only improvement they made were the aspect ratio settings everything else is just useless.

I also have this problem with the audio cutting out. Every few seconds there will be a "lag" and for a spilt second the audio cuts out.
It's extremely annoying.

Received the following feedback from MultiChoice this morning that wasn't explicitly mentioned in the article:

This will be a staggered download and all subscribers should have the new software by 5 April.

Please note: The extent of the performance improvements vary between models of decoder

I asked them to clarify what is meant by "live TV" and it is as one might expect with an additional proviso:

When we refer to live television, we mean television that is broadcast. This means that subtitles are only available as part of the broadcast and not on recorded or On Demand content on the HD PVRs. Subtitles are also not available on all channels as it depends on the individual channel to provide the subtitle stream.

Awesome  Now get cracking on those content updates DStv/MultiChoice !

This really cocked up my plan to watch the cricket this morning. I had a few things scheduled to record so left it on the cricket so that I could just rewind an hour and watch a little action before the day started. Switched on, noticed the banner display looked all different and it was on 101...

Will our all-in-one remotes work after this update or will Multirash bodge it again like the last upgrade?

Why is it even news? If DSTV want to update something it should be the s/w update that cocked up the DSD1110 making it slow and painful to navigate the grid channel menu.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this(a bug with my decoder??)...Yeah,they must fix it, like yesterday. And while on the topic I keep losing my connection via the TV Eye or something to the bedroom TV could this be a software issue(was working perfectly one time)?
