DStv decoder upgrades tomorrow

MultiChoice will be rolling out upgrades for Pace 4, Pace 2, and UEC 4 decoders.

Not sure if my decoder is Pace 4, 2 or UEC 4. Other than disconnecting it from its snug little cupboard and looking at the rear, does anybody know what the compact pvr is?

Since the last update my hd pvr has been having problem recording hope that is fixed now

Me too. I think it's a deliberate ploy to get me to abandon my SD-PVR. I say, never!

We have had 4 HD PVR's since 2010 they seem to just pack up randomly. Our last one lasted from December 2011 to a few days ago.

I wish they would undo the software "upgrade" they did about a month or 2 ago for the DSD 1110 decoders. Mine is terribly slow since then and when you browse through the channels the audio cuts out now and then. The only improvement they made were the aspect ratio settings everything else is just useless.

Why is it even news? If DSTV want to update something it should be the s/w update that cocked up the DSD1110 making it slow and painful to navigate the grid channel menu.

It has made the decoder unusable. The only way you can use it is to have a table of all the channels printed and posted next to the decoder meaning you cannot set auto-tune or reminders or find out what's on a particular channel.

My WD HD Live got a software update last month, its now got useful features like Tune-In internet radio and some enhancements to the Youtube interface, plus a whole lot more. I wonder when dstv will every get that? I am so happy to be [-]multi[/-] mono-choice free since the start of the year.
