I have a dual view setup, with the original Explora and a 2nd Explora, 2A.
The 2A is showing E48-32.
The original Explora displays all channels.

I’ve checked the cabling and connection on the 2A (where I can get to the cabling), and all seems fine. I’ve removed the 2 cables (uni and RF) and re-connected them at the back of the 2A, but no signal.

The 2A is in a bedroom, and not used much. Months ago, I switched on the TV, and had a setup screen visible. Ran through the setup, messed up (in haste, I chose the wrong satellite) and had to re-do it.
It worked and showed good signal strength and quality.

A few days later I saw the E48-32, with no signal.
i disconnected everything and re-connected a few times and eventually got back picture. But a few minutes later, lost signal.
Abandoned the fix, came back a few days later, and there was good signal and picture. It lasted a few weeks, but last week, E48-32 returned and I cannot fix it.

The decoder shows a date in 2019 and the wrong time.

The LNB is set to the correct type.

TV Link/Aux power is “off” and cannot be switched on due to no signal.

What else should I check?
Double story house, with the cables going from side of house, through a garage and one cable to upstairs, and one to downstairs main TV.
I haven’t checked the LNB, which was replaced in 2016/2017 to a Smart LNB (I think).
I used a second 2A decoder, and had the same problem, so it doesn’t seem to be a decoder issue.
Could the one cable have gotten damaged (without being touched). Cables are all indoors and in ceilings, except for about 3-5m outdoors from dish to roof. If so, how often does coax go “faulty”?

Can I test for any voltages/resistances on the cable on the decoder side, without getting onto the roof to access the LNB?

Don’t want to call a technician out, - with the pandemic, I REALLY don’t want strangers traipsing through the house. Have maintained good social isolation and don’t want to mess that up now.

All advise and help will be greatly appreciated and suggestions will be tried out.

Fault being so intermittent to start suggests a loose connection, slight short-circuit, or faulty LNB, given that the other 2A tried did the same.

Cables are generally good for 5 to 7 years. Look for water issues with all the rain, if applicable in your area.

See how the working Explora "1" may behave in the fault related room. (Primary?)

Not usually available for any more.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I noticed that from the LNB, 2 cables enter the garage, and then go back outside to go up to the 2nd floor. I think there may be a joiner/combiner in the garage ceiling.

The cabling was re-hashed by the installer when I changed to a smart LNB. Prior to that each decoder had 3 cables (2 signal and one heartbeat).
