DSTV Explora (3A) decoder resets on its own

Too much of a coincidence, but every morning at +-4:17 (for me) the DSTV Explora decoder resets on its own. Not a factory reset, but the type of reset you'd expect by turning off and on the power switch.

I have no idea why because I barely watch DSTV (it is part of my renting agreement) and most of the time I am asleep during the time, but does anyone know what might be the cause of it?

Hi most of the dstv decoder do a maintance restart early in the morning. That maybe what you are seeing.

Yip it is the standard maintenance reboot the op is seeing. It is factory set for 04:15 but can be changed to whatever time is convenient for the viewer.
