DStv Explora Ultra 4k?

Two days into my Ultra experience and I'm also annoyed by this. The decoder is essentially a one channel showcase at the moment.
Btw, my "solution" at the moment is to run the HDMI signal from the Ultra through a splitter into two separate HDMI ports on the TV. One is a very old HDMI cable that seems to not detect the HDR signal and can only do 1080p. I do my normal SDR viewing on this port. I switch to the other HDMI port on the TV for the one 4K channel at the moment, or if I want to use any of the streaming apps directly from the Ultra..

Anyone noticing video delay on the satellite 4K channel 216 on the Ultra ? Like you can hear the audio of the ball being kicked and then 200-300ms later the video of it.

All other channels are fine.

Yep same here. And not just today

Is this also on LG CX television. I connected explora ultra today on Samsung qled. Not experiencing the all channels HDR lock issue. Channel 216 show 4k .All other channels not locked on HDR.
Interesting. Definitely locked to hdr on ultra and c1 here

Same. Seems to be the live soccer only, studio is fine.

Would be good and interesting to see more feedback by DSTV Explora Ultra 4K decoder owners on the quality picture experienced.
Guys, the 4K picture quality on the Explora Ultra is SUPERB , especially on the streaming services. I absolutely love it. Amazon and Netflix on the Explora Ultra give a beautiful 4K experience. I have a Samsung 55 QLED Smart TV.

Woohoo, just noticed that the "forced" HDR for SDR content appears to be fixed. If you change the video output settings to 4K 50/60 then HDR is disengaged. "Auto" seems to automatically engage it and so any of the lower res outputs (1080p/i/etc). Totally counter-intuitive but just noticed this, this evening - LG OLED CX

Just tried that on my lg. No difference. It was already in 60 4k

That's weird. I wonder if theirs a firmware update that hasn't pulled through to your decoder yet? Mine has definitely disengaged HDR when I select 4K 50/60. All the non-HDR picture modes are now available to me.

Also checked this morning, and HDR stays on all resolutions on my C1. Firmware is up to date, updated in this week

Screen needs a clean , but it looks worse with the reflections. You'll see that HDR disengages in 4K and I can access all the non-HDR picture modes

Interesting

Same decoder and firmware as yours

When i go through the video modes the hdr still pops top right on the same one where yours dissapears
