DStv Family gets three new channels

MultiChoice will permanently add three new channels — Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, and Nick Jr — to its DStv Family package from 25 August 2025.

The broadcaster said the change was part of its broader channel review and a plan to position the Family product as "South Africa's home of kids' entertainment".
 
Some of these can be streamed. You don't need to pay the world most archaic daylight robbery company trying to be a TV operator :)
 
they'll try literally ANYTHING except the things that can save their archaic business model: set reasonable prices, launch custom packages, launch PPV, cancel channels and shows nobody watches

No, just my observations lol.

Current grievance is all the 3rd-party resellers DSTV keeps selling/giving my information to to phone me 6x a a week about why i need a new decoder.
 
Don't rot the brains of those poor kids please. I shudder to think of the 'woke' brainwashing nonsense on those channels.
 
A year or two ago this would've been great, but my son outgrew those. I do miss the noise of the early morning TV though.

We could learn from the Hasidic Jews who give their kids specially designed "kosher" phones and refuse to own a TV. That doesn't mean I support Israel before you assume anything.

The ones I've met are not that obsessed ;- )
But yeah, we could lock ourselves up and throw away the key I suppose. Yesterday some of us were joking about moving to Argentina

Is that a joke though? It might be a good move. I've heard their economy is recovering well.
