DStv getting two new HD channels

I agree, you get a lot more running rugby than in the higher leagues.

As much as I hate the Varsity Cup, because of eligibility cheating, it has gotten more people to watch university sport. They've added volleyball, rugby sevens, athletics, women's hockey, and football starts on Monday.
 
I would prefer additional science and educational channels to sports channels.

In general the "science" programmes on DSTV are rubbish. All about how people feel about the influence of man-eating crocodiles on their relationships with chicks. Or which car is the totally awesomest in the whole wide world of South London.

That's more to do with the actual channels though. They've been pushing this reality crap on History, BBC Knowledge and Discovery for a while now. Even NatGeo is starting to do it.

Yeah, the ones on TopTV are better. So is the TOPTV history channel. As much as I truly enjoy Pawn Stars, American Pickers and Storage Wars.... sometimes you wanna watch actual history documentaries.
 
Well f....ng done to DSTV, for keeping the ratio of soccer/other-sport channels to 50%, nicely sponsored by the cricket/rugby/motorsport viewers. :mad:
 
Here's hoping that they show more sailing, and in HD, especially the America's Cup.
 
It's amazing how much time you guys spend watching DSTV. Used to have the premium package as well but after switching to compact, we can't imagine having ever had enough time to watch most of those premium channels. You sound almost like my wife who just loves having total control of the remote...no offense. :whistle:
 
What are you guys talking about? Varsity rugby is terrible. Low skill rugby always looks **** to me.
