DSTV HD PVR P2 Error: E133-4

Anyone else got the following message on VH1 and MTV this morning: "SMARTCARD ERROR E133-4"

Tried a reboot but the problem still persists. My SD-PVR just gives me a blank screen on those channels (i have an extra-view setup)

Trying to get through to DSTV now... sigh....

Anyone else?

Yes, on my HD PVR as well. Hope you get through and come up with a solution/answer. It will save me from the frustration of calling in!

Mine has fixed it self it is a dstv fault do a search for the error code on my BB, last time some tripped and pulled out a plug at dstv

Mine also recovered from the E133-4 error. Looks like a DSTV issue.

Got through to DSTV. First the woman gave me the big turn it off and on again, told her I had done that already. Then she told me to press the reset button on the front of the decoder, told her that is the same as a power off and on surely.

Finally she read an email saying the problem is global for all PVR decoders........

Sigh...... they are sometimes such a FAIL of a company!

Yes this is happening to me now. such bull. the only channel i wanted to watch and now i cant, i mean honestly DSTV pull your head out of your ass and get with the programme.

Reboot the decoder. Happened to me about an hour ago. Problem sorted by rebooting.

You can reset by going to multichoice DSTV Self Service website.
After entering your smart card and surname.. Try resetting E16, E17 etc till you get a picture.
