DStv subscribers seeing E32-4 error

DStv outage in South Africa

Several DStv subscribers in South Africa have taken to social media to complain that they are unable to watch any channels.

When switching on their TVs, viewers are instead greeted with a screen showing the E32-4 error message.

Physical decoders are so 20th century. My PVR decoder's HDD failed a few years ago and I've been using DSTV Now on my Android TV device to watch DSTV ever since. Don't even have a satellite dish anymore since it rusted away and fell off my roof.

I am so glad my price lock ended last month, payed R849 per month and now my new bill is R935 all of a sudden, just like that. I cancelled this morning. Premium is the cost of a 100mbps uncapped unshaped fiber line and you can do way more than just watch useless repeats of TV all over and over again!! Total rip off, after I had been a premium client for more than ten years - it is all just about the money, stuff the customer. If it was not for sport, Dstv would have been dead a long time ago...

Or was it something more sinister like the Death Kitty thing that reportedly hit Transnet?
