DSTV HDTV

OK Jinx here goes, you can probably do this as well. The SATCR LNB I got from Space TV has a unicable and legacy output. You run the legacy to your SD-PVR with a 1 to 2 splitter. The unicable cable goes into tuner 1 of your HD-PVR. Make sure you scan network Other and that it is set to SATCR. With unicable you do not populate tuner 2,3,4 the split is done in the decoder.

For anyone who was wondering. I just got my Makro Special Sony KLV-40S400A (40" Full HD) Bravia TV!! Installed the HD decoder with new LNB and started watching "Die Hard 4" on Mnet HD and the Man United Game on Mon Night!!! WoW!!!!!!!

I cant watch normal tv anymore!!! it sucks!! looks like utter crap!!! HD TV is the way of the future. The picture quality at 720i is absolutely amazing!!! WoW!!!!!

OMG! you guys only get HD now? hahahahahaha god its been out here for like 2 years now and i get it over my internet with 400 channels

And your point...? I assume you're posting from the UK. I'm surprised you're so excited. Apparently SKY HD in the UK is having endless problems - less than 5% of their subscriber base have made the transition to any of the HD offerings, users have a petition going because they still are unable to get proper Dolby Digital 5.1 via their Sky HD boxes, and many channels are still stuck on the old MPEG2 format. We may be 2 years later (not bad for a country that has so many other priorities), we have MPEG4, we have 5.1 Dolby Digital, and we have MPEG4. All that, and HD is only a few weeks old here...

I actually read somewhere that DSTV is broadcasing the HD channel in MPEG4 as well.
