The only way we will ever win is to put DSTV in the trash can, period :)

good news that the ethernet port will be used.
...so multichoice not so evil after all

Impressive!!! They are starting to force my hand into buying an Explora though.

Ok, maybe now I'll consider getting the explora. I see on their website that the catch up plus is included in the premium subscribtion. All Multichoice needs to do now is allow me to choose when the downloads will take place (after midnight) and let me use my existing 2 hd pvr's with an explora to have 3 viewing environments. The lapa needs it's own HD sports screen ;)

I must say, on the face of it I'm suitably impressed with these features....

I don't understand why the Explora does not come with wif-fi built in? This is a serious oversight. Now you have to buy an extra device to enable wi-fi.

Would not make financial sense to include in every Explora - the majority of owners of the device will not have an internet connection to take advantage of these new services so the wifi would be idle wastage.

This sounds awesome, but I already pay R750 for uncapped internet, and paying another R750 for TV is just plain stupid. I get way more out of my internet connection than what I will ever get out of TV.

Also I saw on holiday that the Discovery Channel is now a reality TV channel? WTF?

If they rolled Explora with Ethernet port, surely they could have included WiFi. After all how many interfaces were included in their previous models which were never used?
