Looks like it had a wobble. lost signal for 15 mins.

Call centres were all offline as well. ANy ideas what happened?

I had it here in Durbs and another friend said she was down too. :/

i was looking for a forum to complain about how slow hd pvr is and then it just shuts down. yeah prob weather. the error message was one ive never seen before tho.

I guess this was a countrywide problem. In capetown it's a clear sky and it was off for a few minutes as well. The message said something about the signal is lost and is being re-established.. bla bla

i got a hd pvr bout 3 months ago, have called about 6 times to reset the service to get it back online. works for a few hours then just gives E30 or E104 errors. have given up, its been down for a week now. if u dont have a hd pvr, under no cirumstances waste your money buying one. i bought it for the rugby, missed the currie cup semi`s cause it was down, and watched the one tri nations game in a little corner of the screen due to the signal being screwed up. so much for spending R20 000 on a tv, R5 000 on sound and R4000 on the decoder, add in R510 per month for HD dstv and u still get nothing. yay africa

Was down here too. Would connect - disconnect - connect - disconnect.........

Took about 5 minutes to fix itself. Thought it was the weather but was clear by that time.

The channel we were watching went down. Most were still working though. Must have been some issue with the broadcast. Didn't last long.

@ BrokenLink - You have an installation issue, or some faulty equipment.

Massive electrical storm.... moved up towards Centurion about 2 hours ago and is still hanging around. Also some good rain. Feels like home!!!

Yes, it's terrible. They should be employing wizards who can control the weather.

For that monthly price you would think so! :p How about some gold plated satellite dishes as well?

R500 x 2 million subscribers = R1,000,000,000 every month. :D

Then subtract broadcasting rights, buying and production of programming, satellite space, etc. The figure will be a lot smaller after that.

My DSTV signal was fine yesterday and today, but I can't access any of the DSTV touch services.

and that makes it all OK, how exactly?

you're still paying over R500 a month for so many repeats, defective decoders that can't record a program properly, satellite that drops out whenever a cloud sneezes and..?
