my ds was and still is working fine
you're still paying over R500 a month for so many repeats
defective decoders that can't record a program properly
satellite that drops out whenever a cloud sneezes and..?
Looks like it had a wobble. lost signal for 15 mins.
Call centres were all offline as well. ANy ideas what happened?
I think its a capacity issue i mean subscriber growth has grown over the past two years and im not sure the satelites are keeping up
um, the thread was about DSTV dying, and I made a comment about the price versus service? Is that somehow not allowed? The only people getting worked up are those who can't think of a way to justify the R500 they flush down the toilet every monthOkay, I don't think this was started as a DSTV bashing thread, but once again one of you anti-DSTV guys have turned it into one. I know they have many faults, but come on. If you don't like it, don't get it. If you don't have it, then stay out of the threads about it and you won't get worked up about it.
And that makes it OK, how exactly? There is a lot of poverty all over the world too. Is that also OK?Repeats is normal all over the world. The worst channels are actually the ones DSTV bought, like BBC's, Discovery etc. I think if you think there is too many repeats, then you are watching too much telly.
So all those discussions on 702 about them trying to record programs and having the ending cut off was just telling lies?I work with satellite distribution daily at a supplier and I don't see that many faulty decoders. The HD had some issues, but it is a solid decoder now. New features should be available by end of year.
I can't get the installer out cos I canceled my DSTV when it went over R400 a month just a couple of years back. Wasn't worth it then, even less now. That's an installation issue and you should get the installer to come back and check it out. Signal only goes in severe weather.

I think YesIf there is 1 person or 10 000 000 people, the broadcast stays the same... so no.
BS. The OP was talking about number of people, your article talks about number of channels. Big difference... So NO...
Okay than lets take my original post and the article and try and find a sweet spot. so we all know that multichoice has been adding new Channels to their package, maybe in an effort to increase customer base, is it at all possible that they have jumped the gun and failed to anticipate their CB growth
