Hi

I have a 55inch Hisense with updated firmware. YouTube, Netflix streams high definition picture quality with no problems.

DSTV now app streams extremely bad quality.

I have a 20mb fibre connection. My tv is connected via ethernet cable, i've also tried wifi.

Can someone please tell me why dstv now is streaming such bad quality and what i can do to fix this?

To be fair, youtube and netflix require a lower bandwidth for HD streaming, but 20mbps fibre should be enough. Have you tried using ethernet cable and turning wireless off on the router so that it's only your TV connected?

Who is the cable provider and the ISP? How does the quality compare on mobile using wifi or pc/laptop using the same connection?

If it works fine on other devices on the same line in high quality then you need to figure out whe the tv is not playing it in hq. Maybe a hisense or app issue.

Have you checked the video quality settings on the DSTV app? Maybe it is set on a lower quality and you need to change it to a higher HD quality. I set ours to a lower quality so it uses less data while streaming.

Same here, not working on my Samsung tv or Android phone

So bloody annoying. I can see the score of the All Blacks game and I can't believe Namibia is holding on but can't see what's happening.

Hi Joe. Did you sort the problem out? I’m having the same issue.

Rookie error guy, updated the app and it’s sorted.

Thanks PDF_27

Just an Update, I haven't resolved this issue. Also, I dont know how to update to latest dstv now app on my Hisense.
