DSTV Now App

Just the generic "Unfortunately this application has stopped" whenever I tried to manage my devices through the settings menu.

You've obviously tried uninstall/reinstalling the app?

Can you remember, what was the order of events before you got the errors?

When you launched the app for the every first time after the fresh install, did you try to download and play a video first, or did you just try and stream a video first and try to download a video second?
 
For me. Installation and tutorial is fine then whenever I try to play a video or change menus it crashes
 
@Milan 188 & Simp - Okay, our devs say they're aware of some stability issues and are working on an update that will hopefully address the crashes. I don't have a solid ETA on the update but when I hear anything I'll post.

@Minosc - Can you PM me your Connect ID (i.e. your login name) and the date/approx. time you had the errors above?

installed last night. very sexy so far. quality wasn't to good but it didn't have dedicated bandwidth. but the content looks good.

I tried streaming a video first a couple of times on both my devices. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the app and tried streaming again. When that did not work, I downloaded a video to my ASUS. After downloading I tried to watch it but got the "Licence acquisition failed" error message.

THANKS MC_Nic!! It seems like the problem is solved. I will spend more time on it tonight and give feedback if I experience any glitches.

Just checked out the app. Works like a charm here at work (super duper fast internet).
S4 standard.

Now for the big test at home. Telkom 2MB. :o

Actually runs ok at home. Well done. Now to see if Springbok rugby matches still suffers from impossible lag and stutter like it does on the Supersport app. Bit of a long wait though... :)

I watched the SA v Wales game and it stuttured not a bit! HD consumed about 1GB for the game.
 
This App proves to be quite useful during load shedding. Now MTN needs to step up and keep me connected when the lights go off. During the first hour I have full LTE connectivity, but then the signal starts deteriorating. The last hour I can barely get Edge....

Just a few things on the TV Guide:
- I prefer the previous version's guide as I prefer seeing what is on DSTV now across the different channels. This app shows the guide per channel.
- Search functionality. I entered Manchester United and didn't see the entry for Sunday in the list
- added to above, the results didn't seem to be sorted in any way
- still on Search. I entered "The Amazing Race" and it found matches for all three words on it own e.g. Amazing World of Gumball. No option to change this and only search for what I added.

it was very blocky which was weird since i expect that on a big display not on a little tablet. must be a quality thing. does this app set the picture on bandwidth available like the supersport app?
 
I can browse through menus now but still crashes when I play something. On the app store the date updated but the app version is still the same.. 1.0.4

I installed the app on my Minix Neo X8-H (stock V2 firmware, not-rooted) and the app says the Device is already registered. It is not on my list of devices. My Galaxy S2 and Minix Neo X7, both running Custom ROM's and rooted, were successfully registered and the app plays perfectly? What gives with the X8?

No hassles with the SuperSport app on the X8, although it is not completely full-screen (95% coverage).
