Can somebody help me with getting supersport or dstv now app working on Amazon Fire please.

There are several ways, search YT for "side load apps Amazon Fire TV"

This is what I would suggest:
1. Download SuperSport, DSTV Now and DStv Connect Single Sign On on your Android phone/tablet
2. Download AGK Fire from Play Store/Amazon on your Android phone/tablet
3. Enable "apps from unknown sources" and "adb debugging" on FTV
4. Simply open AGK Fire and select the apps on your phone you want to "push" to the FTV (must be on same WiFi network)
5. If you don't see the DStv Connect app in AGK, click the Menu button on your phone/tablet and select "Show All Apps"

For the future, I would side load ES File Explorer/Google Drive and then download APK files using http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader

Then you can just install the apps from ES/Drive like you would on a normal Android device.

Note, the apps you side load will not show up in the UI. You must go to Manage All Apps in Settings to run them.

thanks for the reply.
It's installed but can't seem to select channels with the remote.

Try plugging a mouse in and see if that works.

Yea, I had the same problem. Connect a mouse/keyboard with trackpad. My Logitech K400 worked well. I've since bought an Air Mouse from Takealot.

Has anybody got DSTV now and Supersport working in the Fire TV stick? I can get the streams to start but after a few secs the streams hangs/ends. It looks like it's either drm related or can't handle when the stream dynamically adjusts its quality.

How is the dstv apps on the fire TV box?

Works great... no complaints

I can install and register on the Fire TV Stick (need to use a mouse app on my phone to navigate) and in most cases start streams but then after a few secs the stream fails. For me it looks like it happens when the stream quality adjusts to the line speed. Those with the Amazon Fire TV (not Stick) dont seem to have the problem?

Hi - I just bought the Amazon Fire TV 4k and can't seem to load DSTV NOW on Fire TV. Is there a way of doing it via IOS devices? I unfortunately don't have any Android devices.

Much appreciated

InstalI ES File Explorer on the Fire TV from the app store.

Download the DSTV Now apk. Copy to USB flash drive / network drive / etc.

Enable app installs from unknown sources on your Fire TV.

Side load via ES File Explorer.

I'm really keen on this. How is the quality compared to streaming through pc and chrome?
It used to be really bad, but has improved a lot. Watched Sevilla Vs Utd on it yesterday. The quality is good , but dependant on network congestion and bandwidth

I am running a Fire Tv 4k, but I cannot get the DSTV Now app going. Says its need Google Play Services....?

What version of DSTV Now apk are you using?

Possibly share a link?

Did you also have to install Google Play Services if so what version?
