Dstv now on Android TV box problems

Hi guys.

I have a xiaomi mibox 3 which I use to stream dstv now. The past days though it seems to be quite problematic.

If I choose a channel the screen just goes blank and nothing loads. Even if I restart the device or reinstall the app the same thing seems to happen.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

i have a mibox as well, no issues my side. Have you tried running it on Kodi?

I had the same problem and fixed it by disassociating my package from DSTV Now and then relinking it. Go to https://now.dstv.com/ in a browser, then click on the icon in the top right hand corner, and select "Update Sign In Details" in the drop down menu. In the window that opens up, select the "DSTV Package" tab, and click on "Unlink DSTV Package". Once you do this, repeat the same process, and then it will ask you which DSTV package you want to associate with DSTV Now, and then select the same package you had linked before.

Yes it worked. Quite a mission to have to create a new account and then log in and link all your devices again, but it fixed the problem at least.

The fix lasted about 70 minutes of last night's soccer match until the screen went blank and it would not load channel 203 again. Very frustrating.
 
Anyone still having problems with this? Only fix is to logout and login again on TV box. They just cant get the app to work. Comparing to Netflix, I still have had zero streaming issues with Netflix in the past 3 years. Not once was something not working. Dstv... A whole different story.

It appears that they may have released an update... the only way to change channels that I have found is to uninstall the updates and reinstall them.
Its gone from bad to apocalyptic ****.

Go to Mi Box Settings - Select Apps - Select DSTV - Select Clear Data - Select Force Stop - Select Ok.

Now open the useless DSTV app again and login it should work
 
I eventually did that, thank you. Now every time i move to YouTube for a while or tv is switched off, I need to u install the app and put the come again...
