imo, any digital music service which is legit, drm-free, high quality mp3 and lets you select individual tracks gets my vote.
that said...
it's on average more pricey than the ovi music offering - roughly in line with cd prices. which doesn't make much sense to me.
no voucher or wishlist inclusion yet.
the 30s track previews are ok, a minute would be nice.
the local content is decent - let's hope they're able to expand the overall library in due course.
 
At that price level I'd rather just purchase the physical CD. It would probably cost less, I could rip it to a higher bitrate and I'd have the actual CD to play in my car. OMusic is a really bad name btw.
 
I will rather buy from my overseas provider... far cheaper..

But this site may explain why mweb is so slow...
 
The prices are very expensive. Please realize that because no one will dare to use the service.
 
256kbps? Really not worth it, especially for that price.

You think it would be cheaper, especially since they don't have to worry about packaging and all the logistics involved with distributing physical media.
 
Haven't really ever purchased music before. Is the 3 days to download your purchase the norm? Wouldl be nice if you can redownload what you've purchased whenever you want.
 
The good part is that there's no DRM. Although I'd rather stick to the Ovi music store (at R8 per track and R80 per album) if I want DRM-free music.

I hope you're not serious? People like you should burn, I have no problem with downloading music but at least support the artist if you like their stuff.
 
I did a quick search for artists of a few of my current favorites and not ONE of them was found in search results. Even for large mainstream artists (although quite old) like def leppard brought back nothing except horrible Def Leppard covers. So maybe this is aimed at the youth or people who listen to mainstream bubblegum pop, but I could not find one decent song. I'll pass...

He is right. People will pirate if the price is too high. The price should strike a balance between value and ease of access.

EDIT

Look at the Steam platform. It made it cheaper / easier to get games at an affordable price. I even purchased games I stopped playing ages ago.
