Why is it still so old and dated, the grey and yellow looks ugly...
I changed mine to grey, white and red... looks better but theres hould be some nicer looking ones now... how hard can it be to photochop a new mask?

No need for photoshop they shoud use a SVG engine, draw up vector gradients, shadows etc all with code no pngs, jpgs or gifs.
,But no..

Ya the SVG engine thing...
So you saying its not a complicated update?

HD PVR...there is one colour. Thats it...miss this feature, had our old one on the green look.

So bloody annoying. They finally allowed access to the News24 and weather Touch menu last month. Took them how long to figure that out? You'd think because HD PVR subscribers pay a higher premium they would at least attempt to provide the features standard decoders have.

I don't think the standard decoders have enough on-board RAM for more complicated graphics. But the PVR's...

Forget about it. Multichoice do not have the capacity to think out the box. The PVR and HD PVR have loads of memory capacity (which can also be expanded if they'd get over their big brother "we control all you see" phase).

I call the default theme on the single view decoder Metro Rail! Why yellow and grey? And it's so frustrating only having now and next displayed, and waiting twenty seconds for the info to come up.
The last update was around 2001/2002. The newer decoders could do "so much more", 8-32MB RAM, 200 MIPS CPU. I used Sky in 02 and the box was able to show the info for the next few hours across hundreds of channels without having to load the EPG. MC is years behind.
