I'd like to get BBC News, looks like its available on OpenView, which is 599 for their decoder.
Their install is a bit more though than other vendors @ 1499 inclusive

DSTV on the other hand, is 599-650 (depending where you buy it) all inclusive, for a decoder + satellite installation.
As far as I can see, they're both on IS20, so I can use the same dish for both decoders.

My plan is to get a DStv decoder w/install, have them install, and then add in the OV equipment.

I understand that I'll probably also need to buy a different LNB (eg the LMX501 - https://www.hificorp.co.za/dstv-smart-lnb-001-l09-223 @ R399), as the LNB that comes with the HD set, is only a single port device, and run another cable from the dish from the universal port. I plan on asking the installer to do this, as the DStv install is up to 25m of cable max (and I need far less).

Rolls persuasion, natural 20!

So...

If ordered from HifiCorp, the total is R1,497.90, with free delivery, but gives me DStv (with subscription) + Openview access.
Any flaws, or things I should be aware of in Baldricks my cunning plan?
