Hi
Does anybody have any experience with DSTV over fibre?
I’ve been told that you can install DSTV using your home network infrastructure.
We are busy with a new place and I wanted to know if we good with just using cat6 cables or should we run coaxial as well.
Apparently it can be done using a single cat6, but would separate cables have any advantages?
Thanks in advance

There's 2 ways to watch dstv the one is via dish the other is online.

I have only seen dstv over fibre in blocks of flats and townhouses, as the cost is high

Ellies seem to have most of the equipment

Cat6 is not fibre, are you maybe thinking of DSTV over IP?
Normally only used in large hotels etc, probably very expensive

A normal satellite dish is still the best way to watch dstv.

Thanks, I was referring to DSTV over Ethernet. Probably just install coax instead.

Okay, so I do not find any other threads about this.

We bought a new house and the dstv decoder connects to the ONT. Some of our channels work, but others show E48-32 There is no signal.

Just wondering if anyone else have had the same issue?
