DStv Premium subscriber loss continues

MultiChoice released its interim results for the period ended 30 September 2019, which showed a continued decline in DStv Premium subscribers.

While MultiChoice has stopped reporting on exactly how many DStv Premium customers it is losing, its results showed that it lost 3% of its premium subscribers over the last year.

I dropped dog **** TV when big brother and idols turned into a burnt out forest and when trace became local, what for, only 22million rand a year ceo will know the answer to, don't forget now, ceo still gets his bonus this Xmas, compact subscribers are on the increase and premiums are on the rise to make the shortfall

So what will they do? Increase Compact+ prices to make it even less value for the price difference? Guess they'll only reduce prices when there's one subscriber left.

They won't be going out of business I can assure you. They have the local DSTV which you are familiar with but they also have an African market to the north of us which is as big. Those folk won't be getting fat fibre pipes into their homes in the near future so don't bet the farm on their demise.

This is world-wide trend - DSTV is not unique.

Article posted yesterday in the US;

Cable TV subscriber losses in 2020 could top the populations of Chicago and Houston combined.

Comcast, Verizon, Spectrum, and AT&T lost nearly 2 million subscribers in total during the previous quarter, analysts with UBS are predicting that not only will those losses continue to grow in 2020.

Wha ha ha hah a ha ha ha ah aha

Be sure to increase those premiums for the remaining customers so that you can maintain your profit levels....

Don't watch sport (well except for finals), never subscribed. They are not worth the money.
