DStv Premium taking a beating in 2026

MultiChoice has continued to chip away at the value of its most expensive satellite and streaming product, DStv Premium.

In its most recent change, the broadcaster announced it was dropping four channels, namely M-Net Movies 1, KykNET Lekker, Mzansi Bioskop, and Mzansi Music, from 16 September 2026.

Bottom line is that Premium is and always was far too expensive, they might have gotten away with it while there was no other choice, but today you can get multiple equivalent packages for the same price. The only this DSTV has going for it, is its sport offering, and the South African love of sport.
