niether can i dude (that means close to R700 if you have addons like pvr).i cant wait for ip tv ,R1000 for uncapped internet and tv is a fair price isnt it?

Well where's all the lovely licensed competition? The one didn't even open it's doors yet and is on the virge of being bangrupt already (*cough*telkom media*cough*). Unless there is actual competition (and not just on paper), nothing will change, and prices will go up.

Dude, you pay for HD even in England still, and it's not cheap either. You can't compare us with Japan and the like that have had HD broadcasting for yonks!
That being said, I'd only get DSTV if they included HD at the current SD price AND they improved their selection of broadcasting material.
Unless massive amounts of people quit their NoChoice contracts and then we'd
see NoChoice either going out of business of actually keeping the prices down by dumping the less popular channels or cutting back on expenses (inefficiency).

Hey 490 bucks i thought i was paying 500 anyways.
You cannot compare us to countries where you have 10 x the amount of possible subscribers, compare us to other poor african countries and not to 1st world countries because we are not first world and 70% of our population is in the poor bracket.

We don't have DSTv Either, but i'm watching Full HD Stuff, no adds, and a year before you do. I could probably watch a whole season of something that you probably haven't even heard of, and won't till like next year.....
Just becasue you don't have DSTv don't mean you need to settle for SABC

Not complementing DSTV in anyway but must say their series is up to date nowadays, only a few episodes behind on certain series. But I still expect more for the price I pay.

, that my friend is where i am happy more than happy to blow 600 bucks a month on. If you do not watch sport then dstv may not be what you want as the rest of it is not all that great but from a sport perspective it is simply amazing, i heard they show more english football matches than sky in england. Cricket, rugby, soccer, tennis, f1, moto gp i can go on but i guess what i am saying is that supersport have an incredible sports section and anyone who says otherwise is a liar .I love you supersport!!!!!!!!!!!

, why would i worry about 500 bucks for an entire month of dstv . One night of drinking for a whole month of dstv I guess though i also do not watch like 20 different series and i love the animal channels and history channels. Very entertaining so i think dstv is worth every penny
, they just need more hd channels dammit . Wanna watch every sporting event in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeper as well not everyone has unlimited bandwidth to download stuff like alot of people do so yes they well only have a 3gb cap and be forced to watch sabc everynight.I do not watch any series on mnet though ever purely because the stuff i download off the news servers has no ads which is awesome.
