What difference will it make to your life if your team were to win the S15? Will it make you a happier more successful person? If you were betting and stand to win or lose a lot of money then I can appreciate the importance ... but otherwise it makes zero difference to the life of so many supporters that spend big money and lots of time/energy on their teams. I was like that too ... but I stopped caring last year ... my eyes opened to see how senseless it all really is. Same old thing repeated year in and year out ... costing me lost of money but offering zero dividends. But that's just me. You enjoy your money/time as you see fit. :D

It does paint a sad picture: Multichoice managing to cut costs each year due to economies of scale and technology, but still passing on outlandish increases due to their monopoly - especially on sport.

I would add that I now don't have SABC as an option as I've lost faith in their political objectivity or interest in true investigative journalism.

Just skip the political type programs... the news is so depressing anyway.
There is ok stuff to watch on SABC.. its just old.

You clearly don't understand what the term "force" means. The day I try to force you not to watch TV you will either comply or for starters won't have fingers left to type messages here ... and then I will preach you to death.

Vegetarian? Carnivore!

The bottomline is they are making massive profits and they don't want to eat into that - so they do the only thing a company in its position would do - and that is increase the price and make us bear the brunt!

I know a lot of guys are saying its a luxury item - fair enough - but when the price of other necessities continues to rise on a non-linear scale (petrol, electricity, food etc) - there is only so much you can absorb those costs and still afford things like DSTV.

For now - screw DSTV - I get by fine with Uncapped - everyone at home is cool with it - there are four PCs and 1 media server - between that everyones entertainment and leisure needs are met!
