Drifta subs went up from R36 to R49 - now thats a whopping increase.

Thinking of cancelling my DSTV and getting top TV, I only have the DSTV for movies and some series and Discovery. Can get all that on Top TV. Dont watch a lot of sport to be honest
 
No discovery on TTV. Heard many DSTV subscribers switch to TopTV but switch back because they suffer from the same repeat and nothing-to-watch problems.

TTV have a couple of Discovery channels - Discovery Science, Discovery Investigation and Discovery Lifestyle. Also very good nature, history and other explore channels, besides the Fox Channels. Not really that bad - only sport and we all know that's a monopoly.

If those are your reasons then TopTv will be a very good option for you. You can even save more cash if you don't have kids. I love the way they structure their packages. You only pay for the genres you want.

Series is easy. Torrents ftw.
 
Streaming is only worth it if you have a really fast line like a 4mbs. It's not worth it otherwise. For series and movies uncapped internet is perfect with torrents and you'll probably be able to download some of the series before they're even aired in SA. There's a website called nowwatchtvlive.com which has pretty much everything for live streaming, sports, series, documentary and movie channels but again, it's only worth downgrading from Premium and using this stuff if have a very fast line which in itself costs a lot
