DSTV problem - unable to get certain channels suddenly

Lose/bad connection on the cable with the LNB, or the connection is not water proof any more.

And wiggling it fixed it?! :p

Picture is perfect now as well...

I must say it does not look that waterproof...

:eek: happened to me about 2 years ago. Called the installers who asked me to re-connect and seal the joints and it worked.

Interesting. If it was a loose connection or moisture, it should have been all channels missing and not just the horizontals. What setup do you have? Single view decoder and single LNB?

If you prodded the dish, it probably pushed the LNB back into a semi-correct position.

I would still suggest getting an installer to come and put everything back 100%,
