ok look we can all argue till the cows come home about which sport is better , bottomline is that each persons taste different than that of the other person. I played rugby in school and I am a loyal sharks supporters however there is something about the nfl game that I just prefer. Also glancing at an nfl game on tv doesnt count as '' watching it'' If I had to do that in the begining I would also proberbly think it was a crap game for sissies , you need to understand exactly how the game works to really enjoy it. ( kinda like golf).

Anyway back on Topic , I am going to cancel my dstv account and just use that for extra broadband.

Seems to me that we'll be watching TEN v BAL on Saturday and PIT v SD on Sunday. Time slots on the DSTV guide is set out for games at 23:30 on both nights.

thanks so much

Will be an awesome game with two mean defenses. But, I'd rather see the chargers there, just for that little bit of extra offensive firepower.

Ok ok, can you namsy-pambies take your gayme to another thread now please? :p

It is a matter of personal preference. Having understood (to a lesser degree than Americans) and having attended a NFL game, I personally found it far more boring than rugby. Again, personal preference...

Yay - go Steeler!!! :D

I dont see the Chargers making it that far,esp without Ladainian Tomlinson , and I will be pissed off if Coach Norv Turner gets them into the Superbowl.

Anway I will create a seperate thread on Game night on saturday .

I shall wade in with my own personal opinion..

NFL is a sport for sissies with their damn body armour who can't play a game for a full 40 minutes each half without having to switch out sides etc etc etc... Its also just k@k and boring... same like baseball and basketball... k@k and boring. How people can get obsessed over them I do not understand.

Only thing I would watch tonight on tv is a repeat of Burn Notice at 8pm on the action channel, then I would hit the sack.

That's the crux of the issue - repeats of repeats of repeats. Seen the whole of season 1 of Burn Notice on DSTV - and they're repeating the entire series immediately afterwards on a different channel. Bunch of tossers!!!

Don't even get me started on BBC Lifestyle - they're showing repeats of shows that were already being repeated before they re-branded from Carlton Food Network. They have a few new shows now, which are all complete and are being repeated now. Masterchef - all repeats. Great British Menu - all repeats of repeated episodes that were repeated the year before last and last year as well. In Search of Perfection - now all repeats. Hidden Potential - repeated 4 times a bloody day! And the list goes on...

And just as I thought they couldn't stoop any lower.... guess what's showing on SS2 right now: a dog show. Damn they must be strapped for content!

So usually the Wednesday Mythbusters is a new episode as opposed to the daily repeats of the repeats that they have been repeating now for 2 years. However those too have now become repeats of old shows as well. Last week's was a repeat, and this week is a repeat of the Alaska myths. This is getting beyond absurd now. I really am getting to my wits end with these twits.

Where is the new content? It is non-existent...

They're constantly advertising new content on Discovery now... Still waiting for it to actually become a reality.

My next email is about 70% drafted... I'll post it here when I email it to Multichoice

Agreed. American football, baseball and basketball are so mindlessly boring.

Ice hockey though is pretty cool. (hahahahahahahah). It's also pretty exciting.

I agree. There used to be a reasonably good league in Johannesburg in the old Wembley ice-rink days and they used to import a number of 2nd league players from overseas to play here. I attended on a wekly basis, with about 3000 oither spectators.
