DSTV REPEATS - it is what it is for sure!

I have been going through all the Dstv packages, trying to search for one which can give me value for my money. Well, save for the Premium Boutique,[which is also full of old movies too and repetitions] there is none! It beats me, I thought that the recent price increase will definitely make a significant difference, but then, it HITS me, this is DSTV, it is what it is - a monopoly- because top tv doesn't have anything to give either...don't even go there, because trust me, I suffered the burns!

There's always something to watch on DSTV. :)

If there's nothing you like, you can go to DSTV On Demand, or flip over to Box Office.

I see Hansel & Grethel : Witch Hunters is available for rent now. Might give that a go today. :)
 
If you already have ADSL, and don't need to watch sport or local content, you can ditch DStv for online streaming options, at half the cost.

Get the Roku 3 media player, an Uno DNS account to remove geographical restrictions, and a Netflix and Hulu Plus subscription. Total will be about R1500 for the Roku, and 21 USD per month for the rest.

Don't understand how people can't find anything to watch. Perhaps your horizons are too narrow. Explore a bit, try some new shows.
 
When I cancelled it wasn't the repeated content as much as it was the repeated adverts. Watching just a few hours a week, meant I was being subjected to the same advert 6,500 times per month. They weren't even adverts as much as they were promo's designed to play out at twice the sound level. When I left, I would have paid twice or three times the premium rate for them to disconnect me.
 
Worst of DSTV is a constant stream of behind the scenes on every single channel these days.
