DStv says it has fixed "black screen" issue with live streaming

We "Need" them more than they need us..attitude. Vote with your money..and see what they can do with No income eventually..
 
Is there anyone with a Showmax Pro subscription that can confirm the content and picture quality?

Is there any live news?

For English Premier League is there like only one game per week?

Does the app work??

I think it is time for the premium subscribers subsidizing the lower end packages to say enough is enough, and vote with their wallets... I cancelled mine 2 years ago after being a premium subscriber for over 20 years and never looked back. They even tried to lure me back with "attractive offers" - simply declined and said I am not interested. I use Netflix for my entertainment and certainly do not miss sport... it is ridiculous to pay R 1000.00 per month just for the "privilege" to watch rugby and cricket, while the soccer is on the lower packages...

I had a problem with live streaming DSTV The Call centre asked me what Web browser I was using I told him ......He told me to change to a different Web browser I've been using Edge and no problems since
 
Currently having the issue now on the Mibox. Has surely got to be one of the worst apps ever designed
 
I have Youtube Premium,Netflix,Showmax and F1TV Pro for half of the price of Dstv and much more to watch
 
The black screen was still happening yesterday afternoon. I logged on via my laptop browser and cast the tab rather. Useful backup option.

So its like 10days and still black screen if I try to watch live tv. Is there a fix yet or how do i downgrade? Im on a mibox. Thanks

Have you tried clearing the cache on the app?

There's another thread with instructions on how to sideload an older version of the app - would link but on mobile atm.
 
If anyone is still experiencing the black screen, as I was, I downgraded to the DStv 3.1.3 (nodpi) (Android 7.0+) version and it's working nicely. Just make sure it doesn't upgrade automatically to a newer version.
