DSTV Software Upgrade

New PVR updates.

Have anyone with a PVR, checked the new updates.

So far, I have found:
- PVR Hard Drive capacity Pie at the TOP right.
- New Information Bar.
- The new DSTV On Demand. (Dont really know how this works yet?)

AFAIK DSTV on Demand is used with DVB-H compatible phones, to watch DSTV on your phone

Info bar - only shows current programme and next programme (used to show next two programmes). This REALLY pisses me off... I'm gonna be highly irritated if they dont' change this back, plus the empty grey bar at the bottom is really irritating.
PVR menu - groups series.

This DStv ON DEMAND thing looks pretty interesting. I've got certain things in there that I never recorded myself (bar chuck), so I'm assuming it's a list of things that one can 'demand' without recording. Does it stream if as you watch or is it sitting taking up space on your harddrive?

I still want to know what happened to the series record function? Didnt it work in the beta testing?

No, not 100%. i got a lot of conflict recordings and sometimes the pvr just wont record it at all. very erratic.

the on-demand feature is super. no need to record things like "Eli Stone". just go to on-demand and watch it there, without ANY adverts!!!

when you are not recording anything, your decoder will automatically "record" the on-demand content from a "hidden" channel. it is stored on your hard drive in a space reserved by DSTV on all PVR hard drives, new software or old software.
