Much cheaper to find a friend with dstv and pay them for access.I just reactivated my DSTV subscription after having suspended it for almost 2 years. In those 2 years my satellite dish completely rusted off of my roof, and my PVR decoder stopped working. So all I did was reactivate my account online and load DSTV Now on to my Mibox and now that's the only way I access DSTV.
With the amount of streaming content available, I'm surprised they're still kicking, they called me recently and asked if I'm interested in getting back on dstv, my answer, nope, I have Netflix that streams 4 simultaneously, which is waaaayyyy cheaper than their repetitive bs, sports you can get anywhere in the net if you know where to look as well, glad i turned my back on them years ago.
Willing to bet their pricing will be similar to their current pricing, only this time you'll have to use your bandwidth to access their servers, before covid-19, premier league were toying with the idea of a streaming service for their live games, sky, bt, bein and the likes, including supersport will well and truly be dust if they're to release that.
Exactly what I'm waiting for to see if the PL have their own service but be interesting to see if they include the UK 3pm kick offs which are not shown in England? I've just cancelled my DSTV subs now there's no sport and looking at setting up IPTV mainly for sports coverage which should include Supersport who show the said 3pm matches.
Last I heard, PL, where seriously considering, giving it to Amazon, to stop and run, probably with a 5 year contract, and they, the PL would develop the service that way, and maybe take it over them selves later. Amazon have proven that they can run the service without glitches, and PL have yet to stream anything directly themselves.
