Dstv stream problem

Has anyone else experienced an issue whereby all of the TV shows and movies added to My Stuff disappears? Ie. My Stuff is empty even though you have added multiple items to it? This happened to our DSTV stream account about 2 weeks ago.

Removing and re-adding shows (or adding new ones) doesn't add any of them to My Stuff either.
And it's account specific regardless of device, because I have tested this on AndroidTV, Android phone & iPhone and it persists across all of them.

Tried a family member's account on the same devices and it still works correctly for them.

Curiously enough a cruder version of My Stuff (that is just one long list without any distinction between sports, movies & TV shows) is still present on the Home tab, but it's definitely more cumbersome to use than the proper My Stuff section.

DSTV chat support was unfortunately clueless and kept on insisting that everything is working perfectly on their side.

DStv Stream closes on Google TV, when trying to navigate, and seems just glitchy even when selecting a profile.

Have cleared cache etc.
 
Have restarted Xiaomi Mi Box S 3rd generation as well.

Cleared caches.

Still DStv Stream just closes.
 
Try to play a channel, screen goes dark and app closes and reverts back to the Xiaomi Mi Box S 3rd generation's home menu.

They want us to pay for this sh#t.
 
The irony. DStv streams work allover on alternative pirate platforms, yet their own app glitches time and again.

got exactly the same issue - i tried removing some of the registered devices using my phone - problem persists

New Android box with new Mac address meant a free 7 day trial somewhere for me tonight.
That's how high my irritation was.

actually i got mine working - two hours after derigistering my Old LG TV that died and my Mi Box S 2nd gen as well as my old Xiaomi phone i tried again and it now seems to be working as normal again - just tried on the Mi Box 3 and then rebooted and then tried again and now it all seems fine on my side - maybe you should browse around your settings and see of you can deregister some of the older devices that you don't use for the app anymore - it might just solve the issue for you too

Actually cleaned up the device registration bit a few days ago. And found an UNKNOWN Samsung TV device on our devices registered. Probably some inside scam at MultiChoice whereby they access and give permission to extra streams to whomever.

Their device registration bit has never worked like they said it would, with regards to limits removing and adding devices - have never picked up the limitations being implemented.

Will check DStv Stream app tomorrow again. For now enjoying a 7 day free trial with some extra channels etc.
 
Well, to -day the family member, who I help, whenever her DSTV stream app gives messagecthat it needs to be registered, and pops up a code. She WhatsApps the codecto me, and I log in and do the required.

There after she is good to go till next time.

Tonight, I entered the code, and gotvthe succeded message. But nothing happened her end. Guess I am going to have to make the trip out and see if I can sort her out.

If she switches the power of to the streaming box, and TV, she keeps getting the same code, which my end is no longer valid.

Ideas?

Yes, she keeps getting the same code, which, after entering it, my end, it showed succeded. That codecnow is invalid or unknown

Given that she needs to login on her device repeatedly, perhaps a different DSTV account may have been logged into on the device? I have seen this happen frequently if one logs out of one DSTV account and tries to log into another.

In such instances even getting a new code on the device does nothing when you enter it successfully. The only fix is clearing the app's data which resolves it.

Easy enough to do on an Android-based device, but not sure about the other operating systems. I hope this helps!

Going to upgrade her from a Telkom LIT Box to a Mi-Box S 2nd Gen.

She is that type that is totally clueless, and would not even consider that. Her daughter on the other hand ...
