DSTV unwanted SMS adverts

About 25 to 30 times a day, an SMS arrives from DSTV with some advert or promotion. Today was particularly bad, 32 messages since 1.00pm

Have asked MC to stop and spoke to 5 different people
All their suggestions do not work

1 - Answer STOP - message then appears that "the number you are trying to send to does not exist"
2 - Block the number - each message comes from a different number, so this does not work
3 - Unsubscribe and resubscribe - but then all the recordings disappear (tried this once before)
4 - Instruct CellC to block the number - as useless as (2)
5 - There is nothing they can do as it is handled by a third party

Anyone have a bright answer (while typing this, another 3 messages arrived). Phone is going PING, PING all the time

Agreed. You can blacklist phrases like "opt out" or "subscribe now"

Someone at DSTV has found a use for the 10000 free sms's they get on their cell contract every month. Stooping low to try boost their subscriber base.

Friend bought a second SIM for his new phone. Within a day, he received 22 SMS, 5 calls from debt-collecting agencies and 9 calls from strangers.

Some of the calls from strangers are looking for different people
