DStv vs ShowMax

ShowMax and MultiChoice recently announced that DStv Explora owners can access the video streaming service from their decoders – but why would users want both services?

O, come on rpm! This is getting too much! The title is total clickbait. You allude to a comparison between the two services, but you only regurgitate yesterday's story. You still don't answer the obvious question from every second comment: can it function without an active DSTV subscription?

I am considering deleting my MBB RSS subscription!

No it can't function without the Explora decoder, and that can only function with an active subscription! Perfectly obvious actually.

BUT, there is a case to be made for someone on the EasyView subscription with an Explora and PVR facilities activated. About the only package that makes some sort of financial sense.

“DStv and ShowMax are competing services"

...

I don't really care about the answer. I cancelled DSTV last month and use a chromecast for streaming services.
What irks me is that they posted the same story three times in two days now. The most common question in the comments was on the subscription. MyBB just copy and paste the press releases from the services and shows no interest in being the champion for competitive communication services and technology they purport to be.

Slight clickbait there.

Title should have been, Showmax and DSTV partnering up!
