DStv's plan to cut three channels causes backlash

I couldnt care less what dstv is doing. They are rubbish and I have cancelled my subs with them. To pay that amount of money every month for crappy programs, repeats and 50 "channels" nobody wants is just not worth it.
In stead of developing a company, these guys pocket millions every month, like the rest of the new corrupt bread of south africans

Lol! do people think DStv was built out of the kindness of their hearts just to entertain the people of SA, of course they're only concerned about their profits, that's why they exist haha

And to go on an attack campaign to take down DStv because you're not happy with their offering is just bizarre, stop giving them money if you feel you're not getting enough worth out of it, get Netflix or something

But seriously though, hate that they're taking away more and more doccie channels and adding more and more movies, pathetic dating shows and unreality crap like fake housewives of this and that etc.

Take away stuff like the very high quality home shopping channel, fashion tv, cheap community channels like soweto tv or cape town tv or durban tv etc, Nigerian channels, big brother, cnn, sabc, etv, religious stuff, horseracing channel, "m"tv, and cut down on the channels showing Americans buying houses. Keep all the mnet movie channels and Sundance but cut all the other crappy movie channels. So many channels that surely can't be that popular but then they cut channels that people actually like.

Wouldn't mind more gaming channels tbh :)
Or interactive channels. Who remembers those channels where you had to sms to play minigolf and stuff. Loved those and I regularly held the high score :giggle:
