We're just going through a similar affect as other countries even if DStv minimized costs they'd still lose consumers

Moved to a rented property without a DStv dish for my decoders. Streaming is only allowed on 1 TV and then on small mobile devices. I cannot stream on 2 TV's at the same time, so they can keep it and kiss my +-R1000/m goodbye too. Disney and/or Amazon here I come!

I must say, I am enjoying the sport since borrowing FIL's streaming account he didn't know he has.

I just find it dumb that you can't pause or have the option to watch it later. Like the cricket that is on at 2 this morning.

No ways I will pay a R1000 just for this.

Well we asked to pay only for the channels that we want to watch, they didn’t listen. Forcing people to sign up for their premium R1000 package to watch 1 sporting channel (in my case Rugby which is not even played all year round) is daylight robbery. They must enjoy their greedy sports monopoly while it lasts, the day will come when we have more options and that will then be the end of them. Canal+ is waisting their money just like mr Musk did with Twitter.

If they hadn't been run by complete idiots they would have been decreasing prices to retain customers since their OPEX is fixed against the subscriber base earning less per subscription would be substantially offset by increased subscriptions. But nooo the old white men believed the internet was a fad or something

You might want to Google the Multichoice board at some stage

The people responsible for DSTV's success. Make sure to pay your sub on time. I wonder which of these good people decided to enrol people in the Disney sub without consent? Were they punished for this theft? LOL

from kissing, to waving, to cutting (umbilical) cords.
what next?

Isn't it on catchup?

Then you have them still overpaying for Sporting events to maintain the exclusive rights even though they couldn't really afford it.

They essential kept operating like a monopoly and kept their old strategy of crying for government assistance instead actually improving their products and pricing.

There no catchup on the stream app from what I can see. There is just a 10 min. highligts thing.
Technically the whole thing is catch up by the looks of it, unless you go to live TV. But yeah just saw Sport is not great
