I tend to favor international sports channels such as SkySport, EuroSport, and beIN. Supersport tends to have quite a few annoying advertisements during the games.

Lately as a family we have been reviewing whether to cut the cord or not. The only people who watch the TV are my mother( news and Mzansi magic) and my nephew (cartoons). The rest of the siblings switched to Netflix, Youtube and Amazon. DSTV is no longer appealing truly speaking.

We're just going through a similar affect as other countries even if DStv minimized costs they'd still lose consumers

Dstv management is to blame for the decline. For many years they hold the monopoly for entertainment in South Africa and they screwed the consumers with increase after increase while top management enriched themselves with exuberant salaries and bonusses. They bled the company dry while customers were bombarded with re-runs and useless to stations.
I have cancelled my dstv subscription 8 years ago, upgraded my Wifi and subscribed to Netflix and YouTube. What a pleasure. I really don't care much about the sport.
