Dual Boot Chrome OS and Win 8

ChromeOS is based on Linux, only commies & socialists would use that crap!

Yup that's what I did.

Hardly worth the effort though because the real Chrome OS only comes with Chromebooks.

The Chromium version is very much lacking.
 
I would rather slap another Linux distro on there, cos Chrome OS only works properly on certain portables, not all of them.

I'm sure you can get hold of a Chromebook?

You get an insane amount of Google Drive storage (think it's 100GB) and if you have wifi at home, it's great.

I can't afford another device, and I need my Windows laptop for work/academics.

I have a hundred gigs with dropbox. Fyi if you install a Samsung android 4.2.2 Rom and sign in to dropbox during the setup wizard you get 50gb. I did it twice :D

hehe.....so you double-clutched the subscription. Cheapskate! :)

However, you might be sad to know that the 50GB subscriptions are only valid for 1 year. Login to Dropbox and see for yourself. ;)

Wish Google Drive was advanced as Dropbox, hopefully Google will add some extras in the near future.
 
I'm only using 3 gigs, so I don't really care. I'll just install Omega again in a year. Ha ha.

Yeah, I'm fully invested in the Google ecosystem.
