DuckDuckGo beta testing Android anti-tracking tool

DuckDuckGo said its tests found that the average Android user’s smartphone with 35 apps experienced between 1,000–2,000 tracking attempts every day and contacted 70+ tracking companies.
I don't have Facebook installed, so my phone should attract only half of those attempts.
Anyway, good luck to DDG - my default search engine since the beginning of this year as well as my default "please provide your email to access this service" email provider.

Fck DDG for curating their search results by down-ranking right-wing sites.

Either way, there's already an extremely good and verbose app that does this and it's open source and free.

TrackerControl.

Does the search engine require the use of ads?

Yes, and no, it does non-tracking private ad placements though it can be search-keyword targeted it doesn't use you, the user, as a persona to sell, but it is still persona-based marketing since it is your own-typed keywords.
