From what I've been told, they have wanted to release this game a few times, but each time, something happens - the last was "engine" upgrade came out so they had to do a bunch of stuff.

well its been in development since mid 1997 (+-12 years) so it beta be good otherwise 3D Realms is gonna be the biggest joke in gaming history

I LOVED Duke Nukem II, the side-scrolling platformer. It was just pure awesomeness.

Yeah, that's the last excuse I heard, something about the game engine being upgraded. I had actually forgotten about this game, I doubt it will ever be released, tbh.

Am I the only one who thinks that by the time it comes out... it will be kinda *meh*... I mean we have had everything from hardcore sex to highly ambiguous moral decisions to outright fun and everything in between put into games of the FPS genre already. I don;t see how it does everything just right like it did back when games were less "popularized"...
