I know some people at Uni who were in his class and partied with him and what not.

He isn't that kind of a bloke.

No one knows what goes through peoples heads. No matter how much they think they know a person.

Really feel for the family.

Will have to wait for the official statement from the police on causes of death and cirmcumstances. I'm not going to speculate.

The body of missing Tuks student Duncan Aallan was found in his VW Jetta in an agricultural area east of Pretoria on Tuesday.

He went missing about three weeks ago after collecting his car in Lynnwood.

Police say preliminary investigations suggest he committed suicide.

The police’s Annabelle Middleton said, “It seems like he committed suicide. The inquest docket will be opened and registered and the investigation will continue.”

That's exactly what everyone said about a friend of mine that killed himself.

It's the ones that you never suspect or have any clue that they might be depressed that usually manage to successfully commit suicide.
The ones who publicise their depression and make multiple threats and failed attempts are usually not actually serious about wanting to die.

I'm a bit confused, assume he committed suicide in his car and has been laying in the same spot for three weeks, surely someone would've spotted him/the car? The report does say he was found in an agricultural area, perhaps it was just in the middle of nowhere?

I heard a very interesting take from someone close to the case, they are saying it was not murder and that the kid did use drugs.
Time will tell and in no way am I saying that this is true, I am just saying what I heard.

I'm friends with some of his classmates (did not know him personally) but it's possible. Unlikely though.
