JS and myself composed a mail to 702 radio

here is the mail we going to send to them...

Dear Bank/702, we as a community of Internet users in South Africa have been listening to your talk on the radio and we have some issues with regards to the articles u are discussing. We as the community of members of myadsl.co.za believe that not enough attention is being paid to the destruction and halting of the South African economy by Telkom and its policies. We were all extremely happy when we heard about the interview about Telkom today at approximately 1pm.
We were however bitterly disappointed at the length of the interview and the very limited issues covered. We believe that this issue is of huge importance and is being ignored by news institutions by in large due to them being too scared to report the truths about a monopoly in which the government has a 37-38% stake. We are all in a desperate situation and are exasperated at the lack of willingness of institutions that can inform the public and help the South African people fight the bullying tactics of Telkom and how Telkom is full of lies and marketing ploys and doesn’t come to the party even though they promise to. How they are being the Apartheid of the new era by hampering ppl to do what is rightfully there for them to use. The amount of information not to mention the amount of an economical boost it would have if we had cheap internet would boost our economy significantly, if you are sceptical about that, please use your contacts to come into contact with a finance minister and communications minister of a country whose broadband internet has grown very recently. I would like to bring to your attention that this is what is killing our country and hindering our growth. Many thanks for your time and hope to hear some articles soon about how Telkom is raping our country. Especially how they are furthering the disadvantages of the previously disadvantaged. Ask people who work for Telkom how many people in Soweto have ADSL. When they give their response, ask why not. Telkom has no other interest than to rape the countries citizens of as much money as is possible at this time while they can. It is up to us, loyal citizens of South-Africa to stand up for those who are less fortunate and who are previously disadvantaged and cannot stand up for themselves as they are not informed. I believe it is not only my duty but organisations such as radio stations such as 702 duty to inform the country of this atrocity.
Yours sincerely the members of myadsl.co.za/users of internet in South Africa

you comments are welcome

PLEASE fix the "u".

If people are going to send emails of this nature, they should avoid using internet slang and shortcuts. It really reflects poorly on the community, IMO. A person who uses shortcuts like that when there is adequate space to spell a word out in full comes across as rather short on smarts, IMO.

FFS you all noobs this is rough draft and i need to get approval from rpm first before using the myadsl.co.za name.

SIGH i know...its a rough draft

Send it, but yes - do add some paragraphs.

" A good plan well executed is better than an excellent plan poorly executed. "

Also, remove works like "rape" and "ppl", it sounds emotive and they may not take you seriously. Don't over-emotionalise your work - the facts you present should speak for themselves.

Snoopy, you've said "Comments are welcome" So ppl are commenting, wasn't that what you wanted  My 2c : get rid of things like "raping the country". There are other ways to say the same thing, without your emotions getting the better of you. In its current form, please send it under your own name

/edit lukev already adressed the rape issue :)

FFS, you asked for comment. If you ask for it, you get it.

If you can't take constructive criticism, don't ask!

And you can stick your 'noob' comment where the sun doesn't shine.

I meant to say reaping the country, my bad.

Also i forgot to add paragraphs cos it was a rough copy, didnt kno snoopy was gonna paste here.
Also words like U and ppl somehow escaped spellcheck.
Interesting.
But ye it was a very rough draft... what i am looking for is more comments on the content more than the spelling and grammar at this time.

Cheers
JS
