I hate litter. I have a big problem with it. What's that got to do with Durban's pristine beaches ?

Ballito looked like a municipal rubbish dump this morning after all the natives visited. Why can these people not use bins? They literally **** where they eat. I saw a bin at the beach which was empty but all around it was loads of rubbish. This afternoon I saw them 'showering' naked under a tap/hosepipe. Fires being made on the grass and braaing like cavemen in open flames. Then there are the ones so drunk they dunno whether they are martha or arthur. Also the first time I saw a couple of ambulances this entire holiday and I did not venture out for long.

There is no hope for africa, none whatsoever if you cannot even cleanup around yourself. Makes me fscking mad :mad:

Durban has nice clean beaches. I know this because I go to durban often. Shrug. What about that is worthy of ruffling feathers ?

Anyone pretending like suddenly Durban is some dirty hell hole is the one trying to dishonestly ruffle feathers. There can't be a less sensationalistic , plain obvious and un controversial statement than "Durban has nice, clean beaches."

So what's your agenda to get ruffled about it ?

I was at St Francis this year and I can tell you the next day the beaches were spotless.

The (private) venues were parties were held like were a mess but they had dedicated clean up crews. Not the same as just throwing litter on the ground on a public beach is it.
 
Ok yeah. Durban beaches are worse than the Ganges and Chao Praya rivers ! Nothing but faeces and dead dogs ! Brown filthy sewage tanks bobbing up and down with condoms !

I went to Durban in the late nineties and what I saw prevented me from ever visiting there again.

Crowded beaches and rubbish everywhere!!

I'd rather stay at home than holiday like that!:D

Yeah well. Like everything else in the country Durban has improved so much since the 90's.
