I am sure with all that smoke burning into the atmosphere must have caused some sort of consequence?
Assume its paraffin wax, which is the same substance as used in domestic candles. That would be as messy as millions of burning birthday cakes, but not particularly toxic.
The building and structure may contain paint, or quantities of other kinds of plastics such as PVC or polyurethane, which produce significantly more nasty combustion fumes.
